Hana Vášáryová (Pelikánová)

hanka a stromHana Vášáryová was born on 12 August 1981. Horses are her big love and passion, they have been accompanying her through the whole life since early childhood. So instead of playing with princess puppets she drew horses at least. Hanka could not ride at that time yet, perhaps only during her regular visits to ZOO, on ponies.

Her dream about riding a horse came true when she was 9 years old. She started riding in the Jockey Club in Přední Kopanina where she stayed till the age of 16 years. She spent nice childhood here and thanks to Mrs Vlasta Kadlecová she met with dressage for the first time.

She participated in the first competition in 1996 (level Z1) with the horse Norton (the owner Dáša Karásková) and finished on the nice 4th place. In 1997 she made her christening in the National Championship (the category Juniors). She competed with the horse Jarda and the result was in the meaning „somebody was perhaps behind her".

The next year Hanka took part in the National Championship in Karlovy Vary with the horse Pamír who was 4 years old at that time (the owner Miroslav Pavlík). She rode him until 2006 when Pamír was sold to China. In 2001 she achieved her first valuable success in her riding career - she finished on the second place with the horse Perun in the FEI test. In 2002 the other good results came - the 1st and the 2nd places in the Young Horses Criteria (KMK) of five-year old horses (Samanta and Floresta).

The winter of 2002 and 2003 was the period of fulfilled wishes for Hanka. The money she earned by selling Perun was used for the internship with Sona Grossauer (still one of the most successful Austrian dressage rider). She took part in the internship with two horses - Pamír and Samanta - and also participated in several competitions. At that time, the results of Hanka's hard work started showing themselves (for example, she finished in the 1st and the 3rd places in CDN - A in Klasse L with Samanta and in the 5th place in Klasse M with Pamír). Her sports career started turning another direction slowly. hanka a saladin

The year of 2003 was full of riding successes. Hana took the 5th place in the National Championship of seniors in Karlovy Vary (with the horse Pamír). The first, second and fourth places in the Young Horses Criteria (KMK) of six-year old horses (Samanta, Angie, Floresta) and the fifth place in the Young Horses Criteria (KMK) of five-year-old horses with the mare Legacy followed. At that time, the mare Legacy had a foal and fulfilled her maternity duties perfectly between her working tasks. For her results, especially in the sphere of work with young horses, Hanka was also awarded her first big prize from the professional sports public - "Rider of the Year 2003". In the same year, Hana received the information on the selection procedure for the position of working rider for the world's most prestigious dressage stable Kasselman. On 2 January 2004, she took the position of stabler/working rider there. She spent here a nice period full of hard work there, but also fulfilled dreams.

During her stay, she trained the horse Ricco (the owner Celestyn Pfaffel), and at the beginning Bianca Kasselmann helped her a lot.

At the beginning of April 2005, Hana returned to the Czech Republic to finish the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University. That year she participated in two competitions with Ricco. In the National Championship they finished on the 5th place and won the Challenge Cup in Radimovice. Hana rented a stable in Neuaigen (the Federal Republic of Germany) where - in addition to Ricco - she had 10 other horses for training.

The year of 2006 was the first excellent sports year that also showed itself in the results and stable professional performances Hanka had been dreaming about already since 1996. Ricco and Hanka became the champions of the Czech Republic, the winners of the Czech Dressage Cup (CDP), they were awarded the prizes "Rider of the Year" and "Horse of the Year" and won the Riding Cup.She has got GOLDEN RIDERŚ BADGE. They started taking the top places regularly not only in local, but also international competitions. Successes came also for the other horses trained - for example Rebel, Melante, World Willy, Půlnoc, and the others did well.

ScharlachrennenA very important year in Hana's life was the year of 2007. With the horse Ricco they achieved very high-quality results in foreign arenas as a part of the small round of the World Cup. After good placing, for example in Stadl Paure, Landshut, Warce or Lipice, they achieved three victories in CDI-W in Brno and the 4th place in the qualification for Nurnberger Burg Pokal. The icing on the cake was the defence of the National Championship title carried out by Hanka in her fifth month of pregnancy. Richmond also "sparkled" with his results as the champion of five-year old horses and Melante as the vice-champion. On 1 September Hanka married Tomáš Vášáry and on 27 December at 11:27 a.m. Johanka Vášáryová was born. For this season, Hanka was awarded for the third time the title "Rider of the Year" and Ricco received the title "Horse of the Year".

In April 2008, the stable DS Pelikan moved to the so long-desired premises in Všetice. Hanka competed on the lent horse Gaurdian Angel (the owner Kačka Říhová) and achieved with him the National Championship title as well as the victory of the Czech Dressage Cup (CDP). In international arenas she achieved, for example, the 5th place in CDI Wroclaw. In the Young Horses Criteria (KMK) Championship for young horses Richmond took the first, Melante the second and Clarissa (the owner Jaroslav Turek) the forth places. The first training successes also came. Her trainees Michaela Bohuslávková and Marie Vranková became the champions of thewelty republic in their categories.

The year of 2009 was characterized by youth. A lot of new young horses joined the stable who are a promise for the future, for example, Saladin V, Rimbaud V, Luis Lassale, So Easy, Zaffier, Red Maserati, Ehrengold and Real Cookie. In April, the reputable dressage specialist, Mr Peter Holler, became Hanka's trainer. The whole season was devoted to work with young horses and, for example, Welterfolg (the owner Pavla Daumann) and Saladin V experienced their first moment of fame in competitions. The biggest successes in this season were achieved by Zaffier (the owner Petra Čmejlová) - the final third place for the finale of the Young Horses Criteria (KMK), Clarissa - the winner of the FEI test and the second place for the final of the Young Horses Criteria (KMK), Luis Lassale - the winner of the FEI test, and Richmond - the winner of the CDP-Novice Cup.
